C2 Racing Stable, LLC
C2 Racing Stable is a Thoroughbred Racing Stable owned and operated by brothers Clint Cornett of Flower Mound, Texas and Mark Cornett of Naples, Florida.
Clint had been wanting to get back in the game based on the brothers previous horse racing success in the early 2000's and in mid-2021, Clint formed C2 Racing Stable with one purpose in mind, running the first weekend in May, the Kentucky Derby.
Mark having 26 years of success as an owner, racing manager and bloodstock agent, he was more than willing to take on the challenge. He had past success evaluating and successfully purchasing thoroughbreds like Blind Luck and Dubai Majesty, both who were Eclipse Award winners.
Since 2000, The Cornett's have posted some staggering numbers for themselves and their respective clients without spending recklessly or campaigning a huge stable. The Cornett's and their clients have compiled 119 stakes wins with horses that were purchased privately, which includes 18 Grade I wins, 44 Graded Stakes wins along with a total of 86 Graded Stakes placings.
C2 Racing Stable hit the ground running in 2021 with the private purchase of White Abarrio, who won the 2022 Holy Bull (G3), Curlin Florida Derby (G1), 2023 Whitney Stakes (G1) and Breeders' Cup Classic (G1).
Clint Cornett, Managing Partner
Clint's passion for horse racing began early on, in the late 80's he would frequently drive from Dallas to Shreveport, Louisiana for a weekend of racing at Louisiana Downs. Clint was previously involved in the horse racing industry in his younger years, specifically 2000 to 2005 as a partner with Mark in Turf Express, Inc.
Clint has vast business experience, 28 years as an entrepreneur and running day-to-day business operations, Clint oversees the overall business operations of C2 Racing Stable.
Mark Cornett, Racing Manager & Bloodstock Agent
Mark is Racing Manager and Bloodstock Agent for C2 Racing Stable and oversees the horses racing schedule as well as horse evaluation for purchases. Mark also provides his Bloodstock Agent services to horsemen through Turf Express Racing.
Mark has been involved in the racing industry since 1996 and in 2010 he had an unparalleled achievement as he identified, negotiated and put the partnerships together to purchase both Blind Luck and Dubai Majesty early in their racing careers. They both were voted Champions and Eclipse Award winners in 2010 for their divisions.
Mark's passion for horse racing, his focused approach and gut instinct to strike at the right moment has yielded positive results over the past 28 years.
